The Angels Camp Museum is a treasure trove of Gold Rush era artifacts.
Built above a mine, there are three buildings full of carriages, wagons, tools, and other items that bring history to life. There is even an opportunity for gold panning. The museum is open Thursday through Monday, 10 am to 4pm for self guided visiting or prearranged tours and field trips. Information boards are placed in a variety of locations as you stroll around.
